Sapura to Market Communications Solutions 3rd December 2007
The company is discussing a few contracts for its integrated secured communications solutions with parties from Asean countries

SAPURA Group aims to commercialise its integrated secured communications solutions (ISCS) in the Asean and European markets.

Group president/chief executive officer Datuk Shahril Shamsuddin said the company is discussing a few contracts with parties from Asean countries.

“We are already bidding regionally, and the possible countries include domestic, Indonesia and other Asean countries.

“The reaction is good and the prospects are quite big in the regional market as regional integration work for security forces may run into millions (value of the contract) at least,” he told reporters at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 2007 exhibition today.

The solutions are already in use by the Malaysian armed forces.

Shahril said the company is always looking forward to strengthen its presence in Malaysia and the Asean markets and would continue to make a significant investment in developing a new technology to improve the communications process.

“To date, the company has invested up to RM90 million on research and technologies for business communications technology.

“We will continue to invest to further strengthen our presence in the marketplace to develop innovative systems, products and solutions,” he said. — Bernama
